Beef Stroganoff/ Strogonoff de Carne



In Brazil we serve this dish with cooked white rice and shoestring potatoes (Pik-nik). We don’t add the noodles like here in U.S. and guess what? This is one of my husband’s favorite dishes... 13 years of marriage and I still don’t know what type of food he dislikes. LOL

Ingredients

2 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak or 2 lb. beef top round steak, 3/4" thick, cut into thin strips;
2 table spoons of oil;
2 medium onions petite diced;
2 cloves of garlic petite diced;
1 table spoon of mustard;
2 table spoons of ketchup;
4 table spoons of scotch;
1 can of slice mushrooms (drain the water);
1 can of Nestle Media Cream (with no serum).

Instructions

Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Briefly fry the beef and cook until brown, stirring often. Add the onions and garlic cook over medium heat until tender. Add the ketchup, mustard and the scotch stirring often. Add Mushrooms, season with salt and pepper cook a little bit more, then take the pan off the heat and add the media cream.


Ingredientes

1 kg de filé mignon, alcatra ou coxão mole, cortado em tiras;
2 colheres de óleo;
2 cebolas médias picadinhas;
2 dentes de alho picados;
1 colher de sopa de mostarda;
2 colheres de sopa de catchup;
4 colheres de sopa de scotch;
1 lata de cogumelos (retire água);
1 lata de creme de leite sem soro;

Instruções

Aqueça o óleo em uma panela sobre o fogo médio-alto. Levemente frite a carne até que fique dourada mexendo sempre. Adicione as cebolas e o alho cozinhe até que fiquem macios. Acrescente o catchup, mostarda e o scotch mexendo sempre cozinhe por mais um tempinho. Acrescente os cogumelos, tempere com sal e pimenta do reino, retire a panela do fogo e adicione o creme de leite.
Servir com arroz branco e batata palha.
